1968 FORD SHELBY GT500KR

1968 FORD SHELBY GT500KR

Dec 16th 2022

Out of all the Mustangs variations made over the years, the GT500KR is one of the most appreciated in the collectors’ market today. That’s potentially because its original "King of the Road" version was only made for one year, in 1968, and in very limited numbers.

1968 production year, the Shelby GT500 featured a more aggressively styled front end. A new front hood brought the GT500’s twin air scoops further forward, toward its leading edge. Additionally, a thin chrome bumper spanned the face of the GT500’s sizable grille and served as a point of mount for the car’s driving lights. Functional cooling vents were also added to the hood.

Additionally, The GT500 received newly designed head and tail lights, while the car’s rear sequential turn signals were adapted from the 1965 Thunderbird. As a nice finishing touch, a new spoiler was integrated into the GT500’s deck lid.

It's no surprise every time one of these unique machines appear, they’re bound to catch the eye of a collector or enthusiast.

Here is your opportunity to own a diecast replica. With only 150 pieces made, they won't last long.
